Taquicardia

Felicitas Bonino

Bio

I was born in Pergamino, Bs. As. February 2, 1979
Visiting lost places in the mountains together with my Dad, reaching to people that no one sees, I discovered photography and understood that it was my way of spreading a strong pulse that I felt in front of so much.
I studied cinematography and new media, took various courses and seminars with Argentine photographers such as Adriana Lestido, Diego Ortiz Múgica and a workshop with John Sexton in California, USA. I exhibited in several solo shows and with other photographers at BA Photo, Lucy Mattos Museum, Casa Foa and Caras y Caretas Cultural Center, among others.
I feel a strong connection with light, I have been working as a theater illuminator since 2004, designing lighting sets for plays as well as for music and ballet groups. I work as a travel photographer and also as portrait photographer in graphic media. I interact with others, I listen to their stories, visit their places and then tell their stories through a photo. That is what moves me the most!
Together with my fellow photographers Agnes and Lola, we created the textile design brand Taquicardia. In this endeavor, the three of us portray our images into everyday design objects with the ancient artisan technique of screen printing. Everything we do is based on the mission to evoke the senses and to bring art closer to people.

Statement

Turning into images my feelings is my inspiration,
Raising my eyes and felling l'm not alone, Listen the heartbeats and silence the fears. Contemplation stops time and the everyday becomes present.
