María Crosetti

Bio

María Crosetti (Rosario, 1979)
Bachelor's degree in Social Communication. Awarded a scholarship by the Government of Santa Fe (2014), Fundación Itaú, and FNA (2019). She received the acquisition prize from the Bolsa de Comercio at the Salón del Museo Rosa Galisteo (2016). She exhibited under the curation of Alberto Goldenstein at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Rosario (2015), Clarisa Appendino at Fundación Osde Rosario (2016), and Francisco Medail at Galería Subsuelo (2023). She has participated in various contests and exhibitions such as Itaú Visual Arts (2015 and 2018), National Salon (2016), and FNA (2018). In 2019, the Municipal Publishing House of Rosario published her work in the contemporary photography collection. She is a member of the artist team at Galería Subsuelo. She is a teacher and a member of the Camarada collective. She lives in Rosario

Statement

My work usually begins with a concern, sometimes it's a device, sometimes a question about photography, a material, or a technique. The product is what results from the process. Drifts often align with error, with the failures that I find meaningful. My images remain in the opacity of their own production process.
