Founded in 2010, Carmen Araujo Arte® is a gallery dedicated to the research, exhibition and diffusion of venezuelan and Latin American contemporary visual arts. It has two main fields of interest. on the one hand, it focuses on the exhibition of works by contemporary visual artists that follow any of these three lines: the critical reinscription of modern traditions in contemporary aesthetic elaborations; the contemplation on the problems of memory and the determinants of latin america; and the reflection on current political and social problems. Also, the gallery focuses on modern and contemporary photography that approaches Latin America as an enlarged symbolic, intellectual and geographical territory. this inquiry includes but isn’t limited to Latin American authors.
